Herb Time Plus regards your health as our first priority. Our unique organization provides you with natural products and a variety of things summed up in our acronym for HERB: Health, Education, Research, Botanicals.
I first became interested in herbs as a child. My mother always kept a few boxes of herbs on-hand and would give us girls some mixed with a little honey and lemon at the onset of a cold or illness. As a child I did not know anything about their medicinal properties, the difference between one herb to another, where they came from, or how they were processed. The only thing I knew about them is that we were to take them when sick, and they would help us get well.
After leaving home I continued to use herbs, still not understanding their medicinal benefits, and would most often drink them just for their aromatic scent and rich flavor. It was not until I married that I decided to take up studies in herbs. In the summer of 1987 I attended my first one-week "Health Seminar" at a Christian college in Angwin, California. Most of the speakers were Medical Doctors, Naturopath Physicians, Chiropractors, Massage Therapist, and Medical Missionaries, who were all endorcing and practicing natural medicine.
The purpose of the seminar was to educate the public to take control of their health through lifestyle changes. This included practical training and demonstrations by the various instructors and their specialties.
After leaving the seminar I resigned from my job and for about eight months studied everything health related. I later enrolled in a Natural Therapy course which I completed in 1990, and completed my first herbal course in 1992 and have studies several since that time. After much study and use I began to develop confidence in herbs and natural remedies and I started a mail order business in 1995, providing herbs, special formulations upon request, and herbal information. In July 1997 Herb Time Plus launched its first bi-monthly newsletter, and in 2004 opened a home-based natural products store in the rural area of Ladysmith, Wisconsin.
As a compliment to Herb Time Plus, we have developed our own line of natural health products. We also carry brands from other companies that we place the most confidence in. We select our products from nationally recognized and honored suppliers who stand behind their products with a hundred percent commitment.
I have found that only when you know the value of herbs through personal experience can you really appreciate their tremendous effects on the body. Realizing you have many choices, we believe that once you try our products you will recognize and appreciate their superior quality too.
