To ease the effects of chigger bites, place one drop of thyme essential oil onto a bandaid, apply over the bite and leave on for several hours or overnight. It may sting for a few minutes. In the morning, remove and apply a new bandaid with one drop of lavender essential oil. Leave on for several hours or until there is no more itch. Remove and rinse with water if irritation occurs while using either. Do not use on broken skin.
